Services

Every service a case needs to move forward.

From a routine citation to a subpoena due tomorrow morning, we match the service level to your deadline — and document each step the way Texas courts expect.

01

Routine service

Our standard service for citations, petitions, subpoenas, and notices when you have time before your deadline. A Texas-certified server makes diligent attempts at different times of day — including early mornings, evenings, and weekends — to reach the person where they actually are.

Included

  • Personal service on individuals
  • Service on businesses and registered agents
  • Multiple attempts at varied times and days
  • Signed return of service when complete

Rush service

When the deadline is close, rush service moves your job to the front of the line. The first attempt is made within 24 hours of receiving your documents, and follow-up attempts are scheduled tightly until service is complete.

Included

  • First attempt within 24 hours
  • Prioritised routing and scheduling
  • Status update after every attempt
  • Ideal for hearings set within the week

Same-day service

For temporary restraining orders, hearing notices, and subpoenas that cannot wait, we dispatch a server the same day. Call before you order so we can confirm a server is available in the recipient's area.

Included

  • Documents received in the morning are attempted that day
  • Direct dispatch to an available certified server
  • Real-time updates by phone or email
  • Return of service delivered promptly for filing

Skip trace

An outdated address is the most common reason service stalls. Our skip tracing combines database research with field verification to find a current residence or workplace, so the next attempt has a real chance of success.

Included

  • Current address and employment research
  • Field verification before attempts begin
  • Conducted only for permissible purposes
  • Findings documented to support diligence

05

Court filing

We file your documents so you do not have to stand in line. We handle e-filing and in-person filing at courthouses in Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties, and send you the filing confirmation as soon as it is accepted.

Included

  • E-filing and in-person courthouse filing
  • Filing of returns of service after we serve
  • Pick-up of certified and file-stamped copies
  • Confirmation sent when the court accepts the filing

Serving papers in Texas

A few things worth knowing.

Who may serve
In most civil cases, Texas allows service by a sheriff, constable, or a private process server certified by the Judicial Branch Certification Commission. All of our servers hold that certification.
When service is difficult
If personal service fails after diligent attempts, a court may authorise substituted service under Rule 106. Our due diligence affidavits document each attempt to support that motion.
Proof of service
The return of service records who was served, when, where, and how. We prepare and sign it so it is ready for filing with the court.
What we serve
Citations and petitions, subpoenas, divorce and family law papers, eviction-related notices, small claims documents, and other civil process.

Not legal advice: Pro Process Server is not a law firm and cannot advise you on your case. Information on this site is general; please consult a licensed Texas attorney about your legal matter.
